Our Teaching Approach

We use various teaching approaches and leverage technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) to enhance students’ mastery of concepts and overall education experiences in several ways. One way is through our use of VR in subjects such as science, history, and geography, where students can immerse themselves in virtual environments that bring abstract concepts to life. For example, students could explore the inside of a cell or visit historical landmarks and locations that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. This helps our students to better understand and retain the information they are learning.

Another way is through our use of AR in subjects such as math and physics, where students can overlay virtual models and simulations on top of real-world objects to better understand how they work. This can help students to visualize and interact with complex concepts in a more engaging and interactive way. Our teachers also leverage 3D printing to revolutionize their classroom teaching—providing students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. With 3D printing, teachers can create physical models and prototypes of complex concepts and designs, allowing students to touch, manipulate, and explore them in a way that is not possible with traditional teaching methods. In subjects such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Our use of 3D printing provides students with the opportunity to design and create their own projects and experiments, allowing them to apply what they have learned in a real-world context. This also helps the students to better understand and retain the information they are learning, as well as develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills necessary to create and explore new forms of expression and as they work together on projects, share ideas, and learn from one another. Thus, fostering a sense of community and creativity within the classroom.

Additionally, Domfas uses these technologies to provide remote learning and collaboration opportunities, allowing students to connect with other students and educators around the world to broaden students’ perspectives and provide a more diverse and globalized education experience.

Our use of technologies enables our teachers to greatly enhance the students’ learning experiences by providing immersive and interactive opportunities that can supplement the traditional teaching methods and make the learning more engaging and effective. This is in line with our mission, vision and goals of enhancing the students’ learning experience through the provision of hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that supplement the traditional teaching methods and make the learning more engaging, interactive and effective.
